The Best Museums to Visit in Las Vegas
"Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at the Luxor Hotel showcases hundreds of artifacts and realistic replicas from the RMS Titanic along with personal tales and belongings from the passengers of the ship. Visitors will see a massive 15-ton piece of the ship’s hull, amazing replicas of the ship’s Grand Staircase, the promenade deck and passenger cabins. Visitors will also see many items from the ship, its passengers and crew, like plates, jewelry, whistles, currency, luggage, etc."
"We have never really worked out why there is a Titanic Exhibit in an Egyptian-themed hotel in Las Vegas Nevada, none of that really makes ANY sense, But hey this is Vegas, does it have to make sense?. We are keeping this in the museum section despite the fact it’s named “exhibit” as it just feels more Museum-like to us. So, Despite not making sense, the Exhibit is quite fascinating."
"Also located at the Luxor, this exhibition features a collection of artefacts salvaged from the famous ship’s wreckage. Walk through recreations of first- and third-class rooms, or even have your picture taken on a recreation of the Grand Staircase and Promenade Deck. "Once a natural history museum, the Barrick Museum on the University of Nevada Las Vegas campus has changed its focus to art in an attempt to fill the void left when the Las Vegas Art Museum closed its doors in early 2009. The small staff at Barrick mounts rotating exhibits for the community while raising funds to become a full time art institution. Shows have ranged from contemporary paintings and sculpture to a photography exhibit of legendary photographer Ansel Adams's black-and-white works of American landscapes and architecture, which spans five decades."
"Hands down, our favorite museum is the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art, on the campus of University of Nevada Las Vegas. It hosts art from local as well as national artists. The shows are always well-curated, and filled with interesting people.” –Tim Shaffer and Kate Aldrich, owners of Patina Decor"
"Vegas might have a lot of flashy art installations, but it’s not exactly a town known for its art museums. Marjorie Barrick is a venue trying to change that. This art museum is 100 percent free to enter and is geared towards the more educational elements of the Vegas art scene."
"Fascinating multimedia exhibits focus on science, technology and the social history of the 'Atomic Age,' which lasted from WWII until atmospheric bomb testing was driven underground in 1961 and a worldwide ban on nuclear testing was declared in 1992. View footage of atomic testing and examine southern Nevada's nuclear past, present and future, from Native American ways of life to the environmental legacy of atomic testing. Don't miss the ticket booth (how could you?); it's a Nevada Test Site guard-station replica."
"Bodies – The Exhibition is better than any science or anatomy class you’ve ever taken. It features a collection of well-preserved human bodies and body parts. You’ll have the chance to see real bodies preserved with their inner organs thanks to a long process of removing tissue and water and placed in a silicone bath before being vacuum sealed."
"There is something incredibly fascinating about these macabre exhibits. What is on display is the preserved remain of actual people partially dissected to reveal the inner working of the Human body. To stand face to face with a once-living breathing human being is quite disturbing but ultimately the Exhibit is seriously fascinating."
"It’s one thing trying to keep your eyes open while reading from a boring biology book. It’s another thing seeing the biology makeup of actual bodies at REAL BODIES at Bally’s Las Vegas. Here you’ll get the science lesson you didn’t get in the classroom."
"The Nevada Southern Railroad Museum is a family-friendly museum dedicated to showcasing the history of the railroad system in Boulder City. Operated by the Nevada State Railroad Museum, the museum is set on the tracks that were laid down by the Union Pacific Railroad to service the Boulder Dam project and features a passenger platform, four operational diesel locomotives, three steam locomotives, and a variety of non-operational equipment that has been cosmetically refurbished for static display. Visitors can enjoy rides on wheelchair-accessible open-air cars or air-conditioned and heated Pullman coaches as well as model railroad displays and 7½" gauge trains on the weekends."

"As you’re sipping on bubbly and replenishing your energy reserves, turn your attention to stage west, a.k.a.The Bellagio Fountains. Performing their water ballet every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. - midnight, this ultra popular Las Vegas attraction can be the entertainment to your meal if you schedule your hunger pangs accordingly. Front row seats to the fountains and prime people watching – this is what we like to call the Las Vegas dinnertime trifecta."
"With a backdrop of Tuscan architecture, the Bellagio’s faux Lake Como and dancing fountains are the antithesis of the Mojave Desert – although the resort does use reclaimed water. The fountain show’s recorded soundtrack varies, so cross your fingers that it will be Italian opera or ol’ Blue Eyes crooning ‘Luck Be a Lady,’ instead of country-and-western twang."
"Address: 3535 Las Vegas Blvd SouthPhone: 702-322-0560Hours: Monday – Thursday 10am – 11pm; Friday & Saturday 10am – midnight; Sunday 10am – 10pm. Between The Linq Hotel and the Flamingo, The Linq Promenade is a safe, bustling pedestrian walkway where you’ll find 200,000 square feet of stores, restaurants and entertainment. Here you’ll find everything from a souvenir shop (because of course you have to get something that screams Las Vegas) to a 2 story candy shop, and everything in between."
"The Linq Promenade has some of the best shops around, like the I Heart Sugar Store with a Chocolate Martini Bar. Not to mention the Linq, which is a great, slow ride that lets you see the entire strip while enjoying a casual (Not scary at all, time) LOL It has tons of street performers and vendors as well as great food and fun."
"The LINQ Promenade is a dazzling shopping and entertainment area located on the strip next to the LINQ Hotel. It’s kind of a mini-strip within the strip. With over 35 retail shops and restaurants, you’ll find plenty to see and do walking through the promenade even without spending any money!"

"Shopping in las vegas strip is not complete without paying a visit to the very upscale part of City Center where Crystals is located!. It is a 500,000 square-foot retail and dining experience where you will come face with some of the most exclusive retailers in the world. "Hemenway Park allows visitors the opportunity to closely mingle with bighorn sheep that come down from the nearby mountains to graze. The park also has playground equipment, gazebos, sport courts, and a view of Lake Mead."
