9 Weird & Wonderful Las Vegas Museums
"The Luxor Although promoted as a casino attraction, "Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition" certainly qualifies as a museum with its deep collection of relics recovered from the doomed ocean liner. Some of the materials stored in leather luggage are in pristine condition, but what really sets this exhibit apart from similar collections is "the big piece" -- a chunk of the ship's wall that is the largest ever recovered. Along the way, you'll also experience recreations of the outdoor deck and the elegant staircase made famous in, you know, that movie."
"If you’ve never seen a piece of the mysterious Titanic up close, then you’ll want to hit up this top museum in Las Vegas. The Titanic exhibition displays several authentic artifacts recovered from the sunken Titanic ocean liner. Chef hats, wrenches, fine china, and chandeliers are just a few of the over 250 artifacts on display."
"It’s been years since I last visited the Titanic exhibit, but the haunting sights have stayed with me. The exhibit transports guests to a lost world of glamour and tragedy. The artifacts are incredible, and you’ll feel both awe and empathy as you learn about the doomed ship.” –C."
"The Nevada State Museum in Las Vegas is situated at the Springs Preserve, in Las Vegas. Nevada is one of 7 Nevada State Museums worked by the Nevada Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs. The name was transformed from the Nevada State Museum and Historical Society in 2008 when the gallery moved from Lorenzi Park in Las Vegas to the Springs Preserve campus."
"Located at Springs Preserve, the Nevada State Museum works to advance the understanding of the history, pre-history, and natural history of Nevada. With everything from Nevada’s state fossil to historic Las Vegas glitz and glamour. Traveling exhibits ensure that each trip to the Nevada State Museum is a new experience for visitors new and old."
"To begin with, it was set up on a deserted farm in California and then after some time, the Las Vegas art museum was moved to another place. The Burlesque Hall of Fame appears to have discovered its perfect home in Art Square. The permanent exhibit “Spectacular, Erotic and Slightly Shocking: A Timeline of Burlesque in the United States” takes a historical perspective of the titillating universe of vaudeville, from its initial days in the mid-1900s to the recovery years of the 1990s through today."
"The Burlesque Hall of Fame showcases this tempting form of dance as a visual art with an important historical legacy and highlights the stars of its past. It is part of the city’s rapidly growing downtown arts district, making it walkable from downtown and parts of Las Vegas Blvd. The exhibits are comprised of burlesque outfits and props from the 1960s to today, along with a trail of media articles and photos documenting the rise of burlesque in America’s nightlife culture."
"This is the only museum in the world dedicated to the art of Burlesque. There are thousands of different photographs, props, and costumes to see. Learn about famous burlesque performers in different rotating exhibits or check out their permanent exhibits that cover the timelines and history of this art form."
"It's hard to say what's more impressive: the museum's physical location in a historic federal courthouse where mobsters sat for federal hearings in 1950–51, the fact that the board of directors is headed up by a former FBI special agent, or the thoughtfully curated exhibits telling the story of organized crime in America. In addition to hands-on FBI equipment and mob-related artifacts, the museum boasts a series of multimedia exhibits featuring interviews with real-life Tony Sopranos."
"Fascinating multimedia exhibits focus on science, technology and the social history of the 'Atomic Age,' which lasted from WWII until atmospheric bomb testing was driven underground in 1961 and a worldwide ban on nuclear testing was declared in 1992. View footage of atomic testing and examine southern Nevada's nuclear past, present and future, from Native American ways of life to the environmental legacy of atomic testing. Don't miss the ticket booth (how could you?); it's a Nevada Test Site guard-station replica."

"The Nevada Southern Railroad Museum is a family-friendly museum dedicated to showcasing the history of the railroad system in Boulder City. Operated by the Nevada State Railroad Museum, the museum is set on the tracks that were laid down by the Union Pacific Railroad to service the Boulder Dam project and features a passenger platform, four operational diesel locomotives, three steam locomotives, and a variety of non-operational equipment that has been cosmetically refurbished for static display. "Harry’s Bar in Venice, Italy, is one of the world’s most-iconic culinary destinations, but Giuseppe Cipriani’s touch extends to cities around the world, including at Cipriani inside the Wynn. A mixed salad of artichoke and avocado is tented with two thick cuts of sliced Parmesan, and the legendary baked tagliolini with ham, appears under a layer of bubbly cheese with browned edges. Prepare for a cheese pull extraordinaire."
"Stepping into Cipriani Las Vegas feels like stepping onto a beautiful yacht. A little nautical and a lot jetsetter-y, with glossy walnut and chrome and terrazzo flooring, the space resembles other Michele Bonan–designed Cipriani restaurants in Miami, Ibiza, and Mexico City. But its own color palette—royal blue and orange—are exclusive to the Vegas location."
"4 out of 5 stars Restaurants The Strip. Inspired, of course, by the Chairman of the Board himself, this dinner-only Italian restaurant is subtly decorated with Ol’ Blue Eyes memorabilia—including the Oscar Sinatra won for his role in From Here to Eternity—and transports visitors back to an earlier moment in Vegas history. Start with the signature Sinatra Smash cocktail and move on to Frank’s spaghetti and clams or osso bucco "My Way."
"You want to celebrate all the major milestones as a couple, but some are more meaningful than others. Anniversaries mark the passing of time together and celebrate your commitment to one another. When it’s time to celebrate your anniversary in Las Vegas, no restaurant is as well suited for celebrating this couple’s occasion as Sinatra at the Wynn Las Vegas."
"Ol' Blue Eyes would've felt right at home in these classy surrounds, with chandeliers, cream-colored banquettes, classical statuary and garden views. The kitchen delivers a mix of heart-warming and sophisticated..."
