25 Fun Things to Do in Vegas with Kids for 2021 (Family Fun!)
"We have never really worked out why there is a Titanic Exhibit in an Egyptian-themed hotel in Las Vegas Nevada, none of that really makes ANY sense, But hey this is Vegas, does it have to make sense?. We are keeping this in the museum section despite the fact it’s named “exhibit” as it just feels more Museum-like to us. So, Despite not making sense, the Exhibit is quite fascinating."
"Also located at the Luxor, this exhibition features a collection of artefacts salvaged from the famous ship’s wreckage. Walk through recreations of first- and third-class rooms, or even have your picture taken on a recreation of the Grand Staircase and Promenade Deck. Get more information about Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition"
"Trace Nevada's history back millions of years at the Nevada State Museum in Las Vegas. Just a few miles from downtown Las Vegas, the Nevada State Museum is part of Springs Preserve, a 180-acre (70-hectare) complex home to trails, bike paths, archaeological sites, and desert wildlife. The museum features exhibits about Nevada’s cultural history, natural history, and geology, including the state fossil (a complete ichthyosaur) and displays about the Hoover Dam and American Indians."
"Every child loves watching the trains pass by, especially the large freight trains. The Nevada State Railroad Museum, found in Carson City, tells the history of the Nevada railroad system through locomotives, artifacts, photographs, and other exhibitions."
"To begin with, it was set up on a deserted farm in California and then after some time, the Las Vegas art museum was moved to another place. The Burlesque Hall of Fame appears to have discovered its perfect home in Art Square. The permanent exhibit “Spectacular, Erotic and Slightly Shocking: A Timeline of Burlesque in the United States” takes a historical perspective of the titillating universe of vaudeville, from its initial days in the mid-1900s to the recovery years of the 1990s through today."
"Burlesque has a long, proud history, and the Burlesque Hall of Fame is dedicated to developing, preserving and showcasing it. The displays are filled with props and costumes. Vintage memorabilia is everywhere."
"It's hard to say what's more impressive: the museum's physical location in a historic federal courthouse where mobsters sat for federal hearings in 1950–51, the fact that the board of directors is headed up by a former FBI special agent, or the thoughtfully curated exhibits telling the story of organized crime in America. In addition to hands-on FBI equipment and mob-related artifacts, the museum boasts a series of multimedia exhibits featuring interviews with real-life Tony Sopranos."
"Fascinating multimedia exhibits focus on science, technology and the social history of the 'Atomic Age,' which lasted from WWII until atmospheric bomb testing was driven underground in 1961 and a worldwide ban on nuclear testing was declared in 1992. View footage of atomic testing and examine southern Nevada's nuclear past, present and future, from Native American ways of life to the environmental legacy of atomic testing. Don't miss the ticket booth (how could you?); it's a Nevada Test Site guard-station replica."
"In the shadows of the Strip, you’ll find Domsky Glass, a studio that utilizes metal and glass to create innovative lighting and sculptures. The art gallery has created beautiful custom pieces for world-class hotels, Cirque Du Soleil shows, fine dining restaurants, and high-end shops. You can contact the studio to arrange a visit, or check out an open house and see the art of glass-blowing in person."
"Left of Center Gallery makes art accessible to the greater Southern Nevada community. A focus on ethnically diverse artists and mediums brings a depth of style to the collection, while the kindness and approachability of artists and admirers alike will make you feel comfortable striking up conversation about each piece. You can continue to spot LOC artists’ works throughout public spaces of Las Vegas, like their vibrant ZAP electrical boxes or the colorful mural at McCarran Airport."
"Left of Center is a contemporary non-profit art gallery located in the fast growing northwest area of Las Vegas. Changing exhibits in the main gallery feature nationally and locally recognized guest artists."
"One of the most fascinating places to see Las Vegas art on the Strip is at the Aria Fine Arts Collection. Located along the Strip within the Aria Hotel complex, the Aria Fine Arts Collection highlights the works of many well-known artists from around the world including Maya Lin, James Turrell, Richard Long and Frank Stella. The fine arts collection is a true testament to the hotel which in itself is a work of art with aesthetically pleasing lines at every turn inside and out."
"People who tour the 21 public art sites around the CityCenter campus are generally committed art aficionados. While everyone else is gambling, partying, or shopping, visitors to the Aria Fine Art Collection get to take in a fabulous outdoor gallery housing works by top contemporary artists. Best of all, it's a free, self-directed walk, so the tour lasts as long as you want it to."
"Take a walk through the impressive Aria complex when you’re ready for an unparalleled experience with fine art and permanent sculptures. There isn’t one specific gallery of all the pieces here at Aria, so just enjoy the experience of wandering through the complex at a leisurely pace. You’ll get to see a magnificent gallery of art for free."
"With two locations, Veganbites does its part to change the city’s nickname to Sweet City. Veganbites Bakery was the original locale, and Veganbites Restaurant is the second location on the west side that offers a breakfast and lunch menu. The tofu caprese salad rivals any with buffalo mozzarella, and the lemon crème gnocchi may cause some involuntary declarations of pleasure."
"Next on our list of the best desserts in Las Vegas, it’s anything (we mean anything!) from Milk Bar. Milk bar was created by award-winning chef and owner Christina Tosi in 2008, and it’s a dessert place that offers a quirky and romantic spin on classic home-style desserts. It’s just so charming and delicious, it’s really hard not to be won over by this amazing little gem."
