Historic to Cutting-Edge: Vegas Architecture
"Once a natural history museum, the Barrick Museum on the University of Nevada Las Vegas campus has changed its focus to art in an attempt to fill the void left when the Las Vegas Art Museum closed its doors in early 2009. The small staff at Barrick mounts rotating exhibits for the community while raising funds to become a full time art institution. Shows have ranged from contemporary paintings and sculpture to a photography exhibit of legendary photographer Ansel Adams's black-and-white works of American landscapes and architecture, which spans five decades."
"Hands down, our favorite museum is the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art, on the campus of University of Nevada Las Vegas. It hosts art from local as well as national artists. The shows are always well-curated, and filled with interesting people.” –Tim Shaffer and Kate Aldrich, owners of Patina Decor"
"Vegas might have a lot of flashy art installations, but it’s not exactly a town known for its art museums. Marjorie Barrick is a venue trying to change that. This art museum is 100 percent free to enter and is geared towards the more educational elements of the Vegas art scene."
"Located beside the Linq Theatre on the famous Las Vegas Strip, the Museum of Selfies is an immersive, must-visit attraction with interactive exhibits where you can let your creativity run wild and nab the ultimate selfie in the amazing and colorful rooms. Whether you’re looking to see the world upside down or have always dreamed of relaxing in a gold bath, chilling in the emoji pool, or melt your brain in the optical illusion bathroom, the Museum of Selfies offers many creative spaces for those looking for some unique and fun holiday snaps, making it one of the best museums in Las Vegas for memories!"
"If you’re heading home after a long day and craving for some good Chinese food, drop by at Bobo China for some takeout. The restaurant is quite small, with only five dining tables, so the service is mostly to-go. The hostess is friendly, and she somehow remembers the names of her customers."

"While there aren’t a ton of vegan options at Hofbrauhaus, the experience alone is worth the trip there. Being a traditional German/Bavarian beer hall, you can expect the beers to be as large as the portions and that rings true here. The vegan schnitzel is one of the better dishes on their vegan menu but they also have vegan frankfurters smothered in a curry sauce."
"Hofbrauhaus is a German restaurant that goes beyond your standard theme restaurant and delivers an entirely immersive experience. First, the communal dining environment means you better come prepared to make some new friends because the person sitting next to you at Hofbrauhaus is your new bestie."
"Open just a few years, Lovelady is a relative newcomer to the Vegas brew scene, but already making a big, sudsy splash. Built from the ground up in Downtown Henderson, the company was founded by four brothers (and yes, their last name is Lovelady), who got their start experimenting with at-home brewing back in their high school days. It made them popular at parties, and the love for producing beer was hard to shake."
"This brewery in downtown Henderson offer patrons 12 different craft beers to choose from, including a Kettle Sour Ale choice along with more common selections like porters and IPAs. Patrons can sample beer with beer flights at $2 a glass, and each beer is labeled in chalk along the bottom of the flight. Online ordering available."
"That’s exactly what’s on tap at Lovelady Brewing in Henderson. The Lovelady brothers have strong roots in Henderson dating back to the 1950s, so giving back to their community was something they always wanted to do. And what better way to give back than craft beer?!"
"Even those who are not a hop head are still in luck at this hop-forward brewery, which produces not just citrusy IPAs and herbal pale ales, but also reds and Dunkelweizens. Food trucks, a large bar, and a patio round out the offerings. Also at Tivoli Village."
"Town Square is an expansive indoor-outdoor shopping mall and entertainment zone with 26 buildings containing over 120 shops, a huge movie theater, outdoor play areas and more than 20 restaurants. The mall is much more than just a shopping area. Town Square hosts a broad array of different community events every year including special activities for Easter, Halloween and Christmas."
"Walking into Town Square, located at the corner of Sunset Road and Las Vegas Boulevard, you'll feel as if you're miles away from the strip as you're transported to quiet and quaint surroundings.[Learn more]"
"This place consists of a hedge maze, a Pop Jet fountain splash pad, a tree house and a bakery playhouse, among other kid’s attractions in Las Vegas."
"Unique to Las Vegas, pick up some cheap thrills and get a taste of Hawaii at this outdoor shopping center. Comprised mostly of a collection of kiosks, it's a great place to pick up some small souvenirs, island-style fashion, and more."
